Meet Some of Our Experts
Mike
19-years at DBA Zone Master DBA since Oracle 5. Yes, Oracle 5. Enjoying tons, multiple mark rounds and hat tricks, those in the know realize Mike is a darts player (although his favorite stat by far is Wins). Mike also likes to hit the links and play a game that somewhat resembles golf. He’s a big fan of auto racing, too, be it IndyCars on the track or Late Models on the local dirt bull rings. And after all of that fun he likes to unwind with a nice craft beer (no IPA’s please) and a premium cigar. |
Jeff
18-years at DBA Zone King of Geeks, Ruler of the DBA World. In 1983, Jeff found his calling in life when he received his new Timex Sinclair 1000. Little did he know that one computer would evolve into a fully functional home data center. In college, Jeff worked a number of odd jobs to pay his way. One of the more notable ones was programming PLC controllers to automate farm equipment such as grain silos and feed troughs. In his spare time, Jeff hones his expertise in database technologies and has been published by Oracle, Quest Software, Rampant Techpress and several blogs. In Jeff’s life, the only thing that comes before databases and maths is spending time with his wife and son. |
Scott
17-years at DBA Zone Country Man with Big Cloud Dreams. Scott is a former city boy gone country. He spends his off-time working on the farm across the street from his house or helping neighbors with projects. He also has a house reclamation project that seems to be never-ending. Quad riding, boating, hiking and anything outdoors is Scott’s happy place. |
James
11-years at DBA Zone Data Boy with a Killer Drive. Affectionately known by his friends as "databoy" after an unfortunate vanity license plate from earlier in his career, James has always embraced his inner-nerd. James lives in Pittsburgh with his wife, (who was sure to "fix" the vanity plate error prior to marriage) and two young children. As a relatively new father, James spends his time switching between dance practice and databases. When not at his desk (or in the bleachers), he can be found on the golf course or biking around the trails of Pittsburgh. He also loves traveling, both domestically and internationally, and trying out new restaurants, although this has admittedly slowed down with the addition of two little ones. |
Helpful, Friendly and Extremely Savvy
We go to serious lengths to hire and retain top professionals that have a core set of qualities that are very difficult to find!

Dean
4-years at DBA Zone Beach Loving Geek. Dean’s been a computer geek ever since he bought his first computer from Scientific Atlanta and had to solder it together. He then moved to that absolute pinnacle of technology – the TRS-80. His love of technology has continued to this day. He’s been an Oracle and SQL server DBA from around the time his oldest of three daughters was born (hint she’s about to graduate college). When they aren’t at the youngest daughter’s volleyball tournaments or taking food care packages to their middle daughter at her university, his wife of 27 years and he spend their weekends on the water – boating, jet skiing, or just enjoying the beach. |
Lisa
Office Manager 20-years at DBA Zone |
Lisa enjoys singing and has been spotted doing karaoke at local dive bars and performing with the Renaissance City Choir. She has been one of their feature soloists at their annual Cabaret, belting songs by Melissa Etheridge, Liza Minnelli, The Carpenters, Bill Withers and more. Her other interests include wine and cheesing with her spouse, supporting the arts (as volunteer and patron), yoga, motorcycling, puzzling and reading. Finally, the furry friends of the world warm her heart -- especially the current felines occupying their home, Becket & Frittz. |
